Beneteau Antares Boat Decking and Flooring Options
Decking and Flooring Overview
Beneteau Antares are a classic family pilothouse boat for inshore cruising and fishing. Antares are well-known for their cosy interiors and level of equipment, making them a best seller. Smaller Antares are generally built without teak decking to the cockpits but sometimes given a facelift when a new owner has taken delivery. Floor areas that are enclosed under a canopy may be viewed as internal or external spaces with flooring that best represents the owners usage. If you are at all unsure then contact us for advice.
Exterior decking products considered to be good options are PVC Synthetic Teak, Composite Cork or Vinyls. PVC Synthetic Teaks looks the most realistic when compared to a natural teak deck but it is not the most environmentally friendly and can be hot to walk on. Cork Composite is a completely natural product and is more pleasant to walk on. Vinyl is a good budget solution and can still look great.
The Antares have a wide variety of interior flooring possibilities. Teak Carpet, Vinyl, Woven Vinyl or Cork products are all worthy of consideration. Cabin areas may be less important in terms of choosing a dedicated marine flooring product if they are not likely to get wet, damp or heavily exposed to UV sunlight.
